I'm definitely going to keep on pushing for more towns to Opt-In I'm also trying to figure out why certain urban areas are zoned out like Wyndanch that is in the Town of Babylon a town that opted in but they will not receive any tax revenue for Legal Cannabis Sales🤔🤔💨💚

While material disparities exist between Whites and the two largest minority cohorts (Blacks and Hispanics), the most significant disparities exist between Whites and Blacks.

The likelihood of entering the criminal justice system. Based on 2018 Suffolk County population:

The number of Whites arrested was equivalent to nearly 10 of every 100,000

The number of Blacks arrested was equivalent to more than 51 of every 100,000

The number of Hispanics arrested was equivalent to nearly 17 of every 100,000

Blacks were arrested for total felony crimes at nearly 8 times the rate of Whites

Blacks were arrested for violent felony crimes at nearly 10 times the rate of Whites

Blacks were arrested for felony drug crimes at 17 times the rate of Whites

Once in the criminal justice system:

Blacks were 20% more likely than Whites to be convicted on violent felony charges.

Blacks were convicted of felony drug crimes at nearly 4X the rate of Whites.

Of those convicted on felony drug charges, Blacks were sentenced to prison and to jail at more than 4X the rate of Whites.

On the basis of population, the average Black Suffolk resident was more than 29X more likely than the average White Suffolk resident to be convicted of a felony drug crime and sentenced to prison. There is no independent, objective, publicly available data that indicates that Blacks offend (possess, use or sell drugs) at such disproportionate rates to Whites.
