Scott had today’s trip and aside from the wind running us off out area for a while it was a pretty good day with a nice limit of good fish. We used strike king shad poles on 1/8 ounce heads and fished basically 5 to 7 feet of water most of the trip. Quit Wishin & Come Fishin!!

After I got home from my trip today a friend of mine let me know he was in my back yard so I told him if he picked me up off my dock I’d show him a milk run. It was his first trip to this lake. It was the first time I’d even been to my dock in several months and I nabbed a goodun before he got there. After the run we were talking on the dock and he caught a few crappie a couple of nice bass one 18 incher lost a big cat or bass all on an ultralight outfit. I think my buddy Rob might be back lol. Just making a point it’s why I like my fish personally to be well over the line. Most conservation officers I’ve talked to or been checked by are really good guys, just trying to do their job like everyone else!!! I’m just saying don’t take any chances why make it harder on yourself and why make it harder on them. Quit Wishin & Come Fishin!!

This is exactly how this one looked and was positioned on a different very small piece of cover like the one shown. Also caught some in the mud. Today was a really good bite no matter what I did wrong I still got bit lol. Quit Wishin & Come Fishin!!

First time to this area in 10 to 12 years and absolutely smoked em. I was using strike king shad poles in Smokey shad and a really old faded black and chartreuse. The area is one my dad used to take me fishing when I was in grade school… good memories the old float and minnow days!! Quit Wishin & Come Fishin!!

Fished with Jake and Chris today and it was nice not running a boat and being able to chill and make no decisions. I got to sit back and observe and learn from a white bass fishing legend. It was fun to watch Jake Nalley do his thing. It’s awesome getting to watch his thinking process and learning from it. Quit Wishin & Come Fishin!!

I say it a lot…. Because it’s true no one else has the seasonal patterns down like Jake knows the electronics like Jake, just where to go in general before he even turns the electronics on. We fished pretty much all new areas where he thought fish should be, and there they were. Quit Wishin & Come Fishin!!

The family reunion was fun and relaxing a great visit and lots of good food look forward to this day every year.
