Fat Mountain Farms began as a hobby for a father and his three daughters. Our farm started with just a few pet goats and eventually grew into a herd of katahdin lambs, cows, and chickens. The early chapters of Fat Mountain Farms showed us that there is a steep learning curve on the traditional ways of livestock stewardship. As the years have passed we have continued on that learning curve and have

added additional team members to our family. One of the lessons we have since learned is that traditional agricultural practices have manipulated the growing cycles of crops and livestock far outside of the natural order. Today, Fat Mountain Farms is actively working to heal our land and strengthen our herd through holistic and sustainable practices. Our team believes God?s way is the best way of stewarding. By focusing on returning nutrients to our pasture and keeping our livestock in a happy environment Fat Mountain Farms is able to provide 100% grass raised and finished meat cuts to the local community.

My motivation. Every. Single. Day.

Some weeks are more exhausting than others, and this week has been one of those weeks 😮‍💨

As we continue to scale, the volume of work gets higher & higher. From 500+ chickens being processed this week, to the building of our dairy barn, and the work going into the farm chores, the days end up being around 14-16 hours.

And I’m not gonna lie, you catch yourself questioning your decisions.

But, then I remember who I’m doing this for.

Fat Mountain Farms’ First farm tour of 2026 was a great success!

We firstly wanted to thank all the families that chose to spend their Saturday morning with us and learn about where and how their food is raised.

Farm Tours are one of our favorite days as we get the opportunity to really showcase our farm and give families a complete transparent behind the scenes view.

Transparency is a small farm’s greatest advantage over the large corporations - we are not scared to hide anything because everything we’re doing is for the best intent for the animals, land, and humans.

We WANT you to see and believe in the food you’re eating!

And finally we wanted to thank our Fat Mountain Farms team - we may be a small team but we sure are mighty 💪

We’re already looking forward to our next tour in the Fall!

Losing you has been one of the hardest things I’ve gone through.

You were my first dog. You taught me patience and gave unconditional love like no other.

We only had a short time together on this earth, but it was the most special.
