The owner has been collecting baseball cards and memorabilia for over thirty years. Weekend adventures with his father to the local card store is where it all began. As a local tradition, his father would take him up to the card shop on Sundays to buy a few baseball wax packs. This sparked the fire inside that would only burn hotter over the years. One of the most memorable moments between the two occurred during the year 1989 when a young star appeared on the scene by the name of Ken Griffey Jr. His father bought a few packs of the newly created baseball card, high gloss, 1989 Upper Deck series. The cards were gleaming compared to the dull, lifeless cardboard of the past. Then it happened, not one, but two Ken Griffey Jr. rookie cards were pulled from a small grouping of packs. The hook was set and the lifelong chase began for the fever of opening up card packs and boxes. Since then, he has been buying, selling, and trading baseball cards trying to keep that feeling and memory alive. The hobby not only stayed alive, but grew into a fun and exciting business.
