🌱 THIS IS YOUR NOTICE TO BUY THE SAD PLANTS. 🌱

You know the ones I mean.

Those poor little perennials sitting at the nursery or garden center looking like they have absolutely had enough of this summer. Crispy leaves. Droopy stems. Maybe looking just a tiny bit neglected.

BUY THEM. 😂

Seriously! This is one of the BEST times of year to find perennial bargains. If you see a little green growth down at the base, there is still life in that baby! Put it in the ground, tuck it in for winter, and let it do its thing.

Next spring, you may have a completely different plant.

🌸 Coneflowers (Echinacea) are one of my absolute favorites, and on our annual trip to Hollabaugh’s in Biglerville, I found two that I could NOT leave behind!

I picked up a Prima Ginger Coneflower and a Sombrero Lemon Yellow Coneflower, both in two-quart containers for only $5 each! They had a large bin of sad discount plants. Plus, fresh and beautiful ones for full price.🌸💛

Now, they may look a little sad right now (second pic)…

…but I KNOW what they're going to look like next year. And I cannot wait! 😍

And speaking of Hollabaugh’s… 🍎🍂

Our annual fall trip is one of my favorite traditions. If you’ve never been, make it a destination! They have beautiful orchards, all kinds of apples, pumpkins everywhere, fresh produce, free activities for the kids, an amazing market and gift shop, fresh c***r slushies, donuts and treats, and, of course, our annual apple c***r milkshakes.with their apple c***r donut on top. Because it isn't fall until we have one. 🍎

And I'm hoping to make the rounds to some of the other wonderful orchards and farm markets around the area this fall and share those with you, too!

🍎🌻 Fall in Pennsylvania is pretty hard to beat.

🍂 Fall is settling in at Greenvillage Gardens. The air is cooler, the evenings are getting shorter, and the gardens are still giving us some beautiful blooms. 🌸

We’ll have some lovely bouquets at the stand this week. The weeks are dwindling, so come enjoy a little piece of the garden while it lasts. 💐

It’s been a busy day! 🌿💐 Three more bouquets have headed out the door, and we’re still putting more out for you!

We have beautiful classic bouquets, gorgeous arrangements, and our dried pink hydrangea stems are in. 🌸

The hydrangea heads don’t need any water, just pop them in your favorite vase and let them naturally dry into something beautiful you can enjoy all season long. 🤍

🌻 THE LITTLE SUNFLOWERS ARE HERE!! 🌻💕

Edit: We’re OPEN Friday–Saturday, 7 AM until dark (or until we sell out!).

And the little sunflowers are finally here! 🌻💛 These are ProCut sunflowers, and they’re extra special for bouquets. Unlike traditional branching sunflowers, ProCuts put their energy into one gorgeous bloom on one strong stem so you get that classic sunflower look without all the side branches. Plus, they have a wonderful vase life, making them perfect for bringing a little sunshine indoors. ☀️

We’ll have fresh bouquets + arrangements waiting for you at the stand.

🌸 Open Thursday & Friday, 7 AM–Noon! 🌸

These are a few flowers I cut last night, and I just thought they were SO pretty, bright, and cheery! 💕🌼

I would have taken pictures of the arrangements and bouquets for you this morning, but… it was still dark when I was setting everything up! 😂 It’s getting to be that time of year when the mornings are getting shorter.

So, stop on in and brighten your day with some fresh flowers! 💐

🌸 OPEN Thursday and Friday, 7 AM- Noon

A little peek at one of our busy garden visitors! 🐝🌼 Our pollinators have absolutely loved the garden this summer. We’re a certified Monarch Waystation, and the butterflies have been out in full force. The bees have been just as happy, buzzing from zinnia to zinnia.

I’ve even been stung several times by my little garden friends while harvesting! 😂🐝

With the heat, mornings are the perfect time to stop by. I’ll have fresh bouquets on the stand, but if you’d like a wrapped bouquet or special arrangement, just message me and I’ll have it ready for you. 💐

Come take home a little piece of the garden for Labor Day weekend. 🩷

🌸 Open Wednesday–Saturday, 7 AM until dark, weather permitting.

I was out picking flowers tonight, getting everything ready for the stand tomorrow morning, and I was trying to decide what color combination I wanted to focus on this week.

And then I thought… Dolly. 💗🧡

With the news of her passing today, it just felt right to fill the porch with a little Dolly sunshine. So this week, along with our usual cheery colors, we’ll be making pink & orange bouquets in her honor.

Pink for the sweetness, femininity and big heart she carried so beautifully. 🩷 Orange for the warmth, joy and sunshine she seemed to bring everywhere she went. 🧡 And together, they feel just a little bit like Dolly, bright, cheerful, colorful and impossible not to smile at.

Dolly once said, “The flowers start blooming and sunshine warms our days and our hearts.” 🌼☀️ That feels especially fitting tonight.

Thank you, Dolly, for making the world a brighter, kinder and much more colorful place. 🌼✨

🌿 A New Season at Greenvillage Gardens

I’ve been traveling in Greece and Turkey with my mom, daughter, sister, and niece. Coming home has reminded me just how much can change in a season.

While I was gone, my oldest son, 22, moved out as he begins grad school and prepares to get married this fall, and our youngest son (17) has headed back to Peru. So many wonderful things are happening, but even good changes can leave a mama’s heart a little tender. ❤️ It's been really quiet in the house.

Life changes. Children grow. Seasons come and go.

But one thing that hasn’t changed is the garden! 🌸 While I was away, my husband took care of everything, and it exploded into summer beauty as it's doing its thing.

🌿 Greenvillage Gardens will be open Friday at 7 a.m. and Saturday at 8. Closed at dark, weather permitting.
