It was paws-itively the best day at Metropolitan Supply! 🐾

We hosted Puppy Day 2026, and a whole bunch of adorable golden retriever puppies came to visit. Team members got the chance to hold them, play with them, and soak up some much-needed puppy love. Safe to say productivity briefly dropped—but morale skyrocketed.

Big smiles, wagging tails, and a reminder that sometimes the best team-building activity comes with four legs and a fluffy coat.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗠𝘂𝘁𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵: 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗮

Kona’s Dad shared the plethora of nicknames handed to her over the years: Kona Bear, Egg Head, Nugget, Kony, Kona Khaleesi (yes, that is a "Game of Thrones" reference), Wiggle Butt, Honey Bunches of Oats, and Princess (Dad says that one describes her role in the family unit).

Kona is a gentle comedian. Her physical routine features the rigorous chasing of her tail as well as marching when she gets anxious or excited. She has also perfected lifting both of her front paws off the ground for when she needs to voice extra powerful barks (usually alerting her humans to squirrels). Kona is not much of a water baby, however, standing IN the water, laying alongside the shore or rolling in wet sand? Triple check. All of the things that parents love for an animal that shares the bed.

Metro’s Annual St. Patty’s Day Potluck was enjoyed by all-- except the dogs, who despite their best displays of Irish puppy eyes a smilin’ were not fed scraps from the tables.

Everything tasted magically delicious with honorable mentions to Colleen for her Reuben sandwiches, Sarah for her Guinness Chili and Ashley for her Irish Crème brownies!
