The rollercoaster of emotions tied to the daunting annual skin prick test appointment:
😀😟😏😟😬🤗😁

Our takeaways:
- Distractions and daddy jokes help, but only temporarily 🤣
- The itching after is worse than the pricks themselves. Note: bring a small fan, it’s better than daddy blowing on Anya’s back for 20 minutes! 😩
- Seven years later, we’re turning the corner. Slightly! “It wasn’t as scary as it seems” 👻

Super proud of Anya big girl! Blood draws at the allergist used to be scary and they’re a breeze. 🙏🏽 Six tubes for IgE and basophil activation testing secured. We were in and out in less than ten minutes. 🤗.

Thank you Mrs. Rosa. We’ve come a long way from when there was crying, kicking, and screaming during these appointments. 🥰

Hi everyone! ❤️ Four years ago, I wrote and self-published “Epi, You’re My Best Friend,” and my talented friend brought it to life with his wonderful illustrations. This simple board book helps little ones with life-threatening food allergies feel more comfortable with their EpiPen from an early age. We’ve also created Epi-themed door hangers and stickers to make remembering their life-saving medication a little easier for families.

Freshly made holiday-themed “egg bite” muffins for Anya. In addition to her SLIT drops, we use these to ensure a have a small amount of baked egg in her diet on a consistent basis. Despite her numbers looking great for egg, she doesn’t do well with egg unless it’s baked long enough. These will work for now! And one day, she’ll hopefully be able to have ’s original chocolate chip cookies which she’s modified to be eggless. 🥰😋
