Closed Saturday 9/19 for Bugfest!

Carolina Habitats will be closed Saturday, September 19th because we'll all be selling plants at Bugfest in downtown Raleigh! We'll have some special collections of ethically grown and propagated carnivorous plants, so come see us on the corner of Salisbury and Jones St.

Bugfest is always a great time and a great way to not only learn about our local ecosystems, but also support the publicly-funded North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences!

You can still order online any time, and we're open today, Friday, until 5pm and Sunday, 9/20 12-3pm!

Come see us for the fall starting tomorrow, August 29th! We will be open through at least October, Fridays and Saturdays 10:00 to 5:00 and Sundays 12:00 to 3:00!

Our retail hours have ended for the summer, but we'll be open Fridays - Sundays starting in late August! In the meantime, we continue to update our inventory for online shopping!

Our friend Aurora T. helped this little friend across our driveway this weekend!

We have seen many creatures in our driveway over the years, including foxes, deer, and rabbits; but none who have hammed it up for the camera quite as much as this box turtle at the turtle crossing 😂

We're at the NC Botanical Gardens Spring Plant sale for another hour today! The sale goes through 2:00 p.m. and is open to the public!

The NC Botanical Gardens Spring Plant Sale is this weekend! We'll be closed at the nursery, but come find our booth on Saturday at the Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill!

We'll be closed on Sunday as well, to restock (and recover!)

There are some plants that we only offer in the spring because they go dormant by summer, including Bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis) and Mayapple (Podophyllum peltatum)!
