Ok, so there has been so many thoughts and emotions on my mind lately. I have had so many doubts and questions. Fears and worries. However, I was only having one way of thinking, and it was spiraling me into just depression.
I wanted to make such an impact and change in this area and bring paganism out of the dark. However, this is just not the place in time for that movement yet. It is just not possible to bring this size of change and open way of thinking to such a rooted area by the work of just one person, and sadly, has resulted in the loss of business, and the failure causing closure. It was just simply not meant to be.
However, there are worse problems in this area than just the lack of open religions, like the economy, lack of jobs, lack of community, lack of opportunities, and addiction. Addiction has been a HUGE part of my life, constantly working on helping others, gaining a degree in it, furthering my education in it, saving those friends and family around me from it. So, I have decided to return to working full time in recovery and actually being able to impact, make a difference, help, and save many others from a much bigger problem than just religion, and hopefully, save some lives.
So, I am going to use the failure of the business as a sign that my work in recovery was more important, and that is why this has played out the way that it has. I am thankful for all the people that I met, the customers I helped, the people that I got the pleasure of helping educate, and those that I helped business wise.
With that being said, I have decided, that if it has to end, it is going to go out with a bang!!!!
With everything being 50% off, I have some new goals with our closing.
1st goal:
Since there is no since in waisting good clothing, for those of you that would like to purchase a t-shirt or tank top, but not necessarily want one for yourself, you can leave us a note at check out, and that shirt will be donated for those coming out of lock up, those starting over and entering recovery homes and sober living homes, and local shelters. We have a total of 79 shirts left, and I would like to either sale or donate them all by the end of the month. For those finding recovery, they are starting over with absolutely nothing to their names. No clothes, hygiene items, no money, no jobs, no home, no friends, no family, no friends, no hope. So, if I have to close, I want to give back to those in the community that needs it the most.
2nd Goal:
If we can get rid of the rest of ALL of our inventory by the end of the month, we will be donating to a charity that also helps those pagans in addiction, those gaining recovery back, those gaining back life, those gaining a second chance. We will be donating to an organization that helps those in jails and prisons, those that helps pagans, those that are helping with NA/AA meetings, providing resources, attending events, handing out literature, helping those find hope and keeping faith. Those that spend every day in meetings, writing letters, sending video's, holding events, gifting. educating, If we can sale EVERYTHING but the shirts by the end of month, we will be donating $300 to Appalachian Pagan Ministry for helping reach those all across the U.S. and fighting for those that have a voice!
