Good morning! Due to the concerning weather reports, we will not be setting up for the show at Grand River Cellars today.

We hate to cancel a show!! But with the forecast for strong winds and hail, we want to play it safe and stay home.

We will see you all next month at the Harvest Market in Chardon!

The last four Sundays, we have been busy canning green beans, carrots, and cucumbers.

The amazing thing about this is that Patrick and Ali have grown everything we've been canning, and they have both been very interested in learning everything I know about the canning process.

I remember canning in the basement of the farmhouse when I was young. The basement was much cooler than the rest of the house during the hot summer months. Both my sister and I still remember canning tomatoes
and how the juice would run down our arms and sting.

I'm thrilled that the younger generation is interested in learning and preserving the old ways!!
