I picked up a small embroidery project I had OnPoint Customs do for me and I noticed something in their front lobby that made me smile.

I spoke to the two individuals up front about it, but felt like I should give them a shoutout.

A. They do great work and have done a few small projects for me.

B. They have a sign in the front lobby that they do not accept any AI artwork for print services. I had to commend them on taking that stand.

I love art. I've always loved art. I'd rather see someone take different colored sharpies and make their own art than typing something into ChatGPT to create. Even if you think it looks bad, others may enjoy it, because it is YOUR CREATION and not some lazy typed out sentence into an AI machine.

Little personal story…

I graduated high school in 2004 around 185 pounds. After I graduated and went to college, I started to gain weight. I would fluctuate throughout the years but have always struggled.

This last time I decided to get my life together, I was 335 pounds. That was right after my 40th birthday in May. Ali came to me and was like, let’s get our s**t together.

I decided to give it another go on a calorie deficient diet and exercise. As of this morning, I hit 255 pounds. I still have a long way to go to hit my ultimate goal, but I’m getting there.

Being healthy for my wife is important.
Being healthy for my kids is important.
Being healthy for myself is important.

I’ve made it 40 years on this floating rock, and I’m gonna make sure I make it at least another 40.

I owe so much to Ali for pushing me. She is doing so well with it as well. I’m proud of her. I’m proud of us.

And I owe another huge reason to vintage clothing. I know some folks don’t or won’t understand, but something about fitting into some 80s and 90s s**t is incredible. I love me some old “ratty” clothing.

And with that, y’all vendors setting up at Charleston Vintage Fest better get ready. I’m bringing cash and a tape measure 😂

“Growing up means, watching my heroes turn human in front of me”

The year was 2002, I had just turned 16 in May...August rolled around, and my friends and I took a trip to Burgettstown, PA to Warped Tour.

Sticks and Stones released that year and holy s**t, was it an absolute banger of an album.

I used to do all these cool things in life and have seen so many bands of the years. NFG was one that I saw several times. The last time I saw them was many moons ago in 2011 at the Pop Punks Not Dead tour.

Standing outside, I got to meet Hayley Williams, Soupy from The Wonder Years, and Chad from NFG. All were just the coolest folks to meet outside the Altar Bar in Pittsburgh.

Chad’s writing was a big influence on me in my younger years. I was in a band with my friends and we used to cover Hit or Miss.

What a huge blow to the pop punk community...Gutted this year, man.
