Charleston was the first den. 🦊
Is your city the next den? Talking to the ones who already looked into this.
Here’s the thing about foxes though. They don’t keep one den. A fox holds several across its territory. One main one where the kits are raised, then others scattered wherever it needs them. 🕳️
And foxes live on every continent except Antarctica. Desert, farmland, snow, city block. Doesn’t matter. They adapt and they go. 🌍
Then there’s the kits. Around six months old, they leave. They don’t stay in the den they were born in. They go find their own ground and dig their own. 🐾
But here’s the part most people don’t know. Foxes rarely dig from scratch. Most of the time they move into ground somebody else already broke, and they make it theirs. 🕳️
That’s the part we keep coming back to.
Somebody out there has already thought about doing this in their city. Already priced out totes one night. Maybe checked if the name was free. 👀
