i’m going to take a moment and make a confession to the council.

i am surrounded by books constantly. i quite literally have constant access to at least 3 books at all times; however, this has not changed the horrible reading slump i’ve been in.

i didn’t pick up a book for the entire month of august. i couldn’t bring myself to do it with all of the crazy things going on around me.

i started this business because i was impatient and didn’t want to wait for a blind date with a book. would you believe me if i told you i bought my first one this past weekend after 2 years?

i had tried just about everything to get out of my slump, but a blind date pulled me right out. this book was a 5/5, and i’m already on my next book!

moral of the story: buy a blind date to pull you out of that reading slump. there’s something about it (tested and approved)

booked & busy friday

happy friday, book friends! we’re officially booked & busy this weekend.

as for us, we’re packing up the books and heading to attica for the fall festival at browns accents.

word on the street wednesday

this may or may not be one that i’m particularly excited about…

threshing day by rebecca yarros is coming september 29, and if you’re anything like us, this one is immediately going on the tbr.

this new collection takes us back to basgiath for threshing day, giving us thirteen stories from across the empyrean world; including a closer look at some of our favorite characters, dragons, and the day that started it all.

is it book 4? no.
did i still immediately add it to my tbr? obviously.

september 29 cannot come soon enough for me.
