Five Eighth Seams Fabrics, Sewing Classes and More Five Eighth Seams is a retail fabric store that specializes in fabrics and sewing accessories.

Our fabric store will carry fine fabrics, notions, and Indy patterns. Sewing classes are listed on our website and range from ages 6 to adult. We do teach more adult classes throughout the year but we also offer sewing school and camps for kids. We carry Art Gallery, Robert Kaufman, Moda, Ruby Star, Freespirit, Kaffe, Riley Blake, and many many many more. We proudly sell and service Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff Sewing and Embroidery Machines.

That is the standard seam allowance, and it is also the name of the shop Charleston has been sewing with since 2011. Over 1000 bolts of designer, organic, and imported cotton. Classes for every level, beginners to advanced, including children’s classes. An authorized Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff dealer with certified technicians who have been servicing machines since 2014.

❤️ Celebrating Karen! ❤️

After 12 wonderful years with Five Eighth Seams, Karen is officially retiring from her regular schedule! At 82 years young, she’s ready for a little more free time, more traveling, and plenty of new adventures.

But don’t worry — she isn’t leaving us completely! Karen will still be teaching select classes, including our Embroidery Basics class, available now on our website.

Before she heads off on her next adventure, we’ll be sharing a series of videos featuring Karen’s tips, advice, sewing wisdom, and favorite things she’s learned over the years. After 12 years with us, she has plenty to share!

And, of course, we need to celebrate her! 🎉
