The City of Charleston is in the process of installing a crosswalk at the Meeting Street and Society Street intersection, right in front of the downtown Lowcountry Olive Oil store. This is great news, as it will make getting to the store much faster and safer. However, as the construction is starting this week, a portion of the sidewalk between Meeting and George Street will be closed to help facilitate the construction.
LOWCOUNTRY OLIVE OIL WILL REMAIN OPEN DURING THE CONSTRUCTION!
You can still get to the store by either walking down Society towards King or by coming up Meeting Street from the Market Street side. If you are on the opposite side of the street from the store, you can safely cross at the Wentworth Street light and then walk back up Meeting Street.
