Together aspiring authors, spoken word performers, bookish Black folks gather to hear from Lost Nation Of Africans as her discussed the principles in his first book, The Meditations of Man.

Each indie author is free to structure the time as they wish, speak directly to new and old readers, and showcase the best of Black writing.

Sankofa Crafts is moving to Saturdays at Derita Design.

We are delighted to bring this offering back. It’s time to get in the kitchen by centering kitchens, textiles, upcycling, and Black craft traditions.

Our monthly offerings, lead by Andy, encourage us to draw upon memories of kitchen textiles, go back and fetch knowledge of Afro-Diaspora textiles traditions, engage in sustainable craft practices, and learn from each other.
