We know a place for that 😉

We’re hosting our first ever How To Play Warhammer 40,000 event next month! Over the course of 5 hours you’ll learn from our local Warhammer expert James, who will cover an introduction to Warhammer and then take you through how to play a game!

This event is ticketed. All attendees will receive game rules, minis to take home, dice, and 5 hours of expertise and game play. Join us for an evening of community and prose at That’s Novel on July 24. We’ll be joined by local, published poets who will take turns sharing their work during the first hour. Then we open the floor to anyone who wants to perform, open mic style.

We know it’s gonna be hot, but don’t stress: we will be indoors this time! No RSVP is needed - simply show up to participate!

We are so excited to be hosting one of our regulars for her first ever book signing next weekend!

Darah DeWalt has been coming to our writing club basically since it was formed. It’s been incredible watching her grow over the years, and we cannot wait to celebrate her work! She’ll be set up on June 27 from 12-3 p.m. with copies of her debut novel, BATTLEFIELD, as well as her brand new poetry collection, I PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THERAPY.

Both books will be available for purchase. Stop by to support Darah and snag your copy!

📖 Book Bedazzling is this Wednesday from 5:30-7 p.m.! There are some tickets still available for folks who have bedazzling kits from previous events. Head to the link in our bio to snag yours! Don’t worry about being there right at 5:30 - there’s no hard start time!

📖 Writing Club is this Thursday, 6/18 from 5:30-7 p.m. No registration needed - just show up to partake in some writing sprints and connect with other writers!

📖 Warhammer Paint & Build night is this Friday! Bring all your supplies (none are provided) and work on your projects alongside other enthusiasts. Builds outside of the Warhammer universe are welcome. No RSVP needed!

📖 This Saturday we’re thrilled to host local poet Caroline Kane Kenna, who will be set up in our shop promoting her debut poetry collection, KEEP YOUR DAMN SEAT. Just drop in to meet her and support her work!
