Charlotte, get ready because a member of one of the most legendary families in professional wrestling is coming to The Gathering!
Born into the legendary Anoa’i wrestling dynasty, this second-generation superstar made a name for himself during the Rock ‘n’ Wrestling era of the 1980s. He burst onto the WWF scene in 1983 and quickly found himself battling some of the biggest names in the business. In 1984, he joined forces with his cousin Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka to take on the villainous duo of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff. He would later become one-half of The Islanders alongside Haku, creating one of the most memorable tag teams of the era. The duo famously feuded with the British Bulldogs and even kidnapped their beloved mascot, Matilda! Wrestling fans would also see him compete under the name Tama before taking his talents to WCW as The Samoan Savage. And if his family connections weren’t impressive enough, he is the nephew of WWE Hall of Famers Afa and Sika, and the father of WWE superstar Jacob Fatu!
We are pleased to announce the one and only The Tonga Kid (Tama) as our next Premier Signatures SuperTicket Guest! The Tonga Kid will be taking pictures and signing autographs. Don’t miss your opportunity to meet this legendary member of the Anoa’i family and one of the unforgettable stars of the WWF’s golden era!
