Wellinghall Books and Coffee

Wellinghall Books and Coffee Wellinghall Books and Coffee, seeks to offer excellent books and coffee to inspire "a heart for God and a mind for truth." You are thirsty, I expect.

Come investigate truth and sip some delicious coffee or chai along the way! Since the opening of the coffee shop, I have been asked, “Where does the name Wellinghall come from?” Wellinghall is from J.R.R. Tolkien’s book, The Two Towers, the second volume of his Lord of the Ring’s trilogy. The hobbits Merry & Pippen are taken by Treebeard to an Ent house named Wellinghall:
“‘The name of this place

is Wellinghall…. Perhaps you are also tired. Drink this!’ said Treebeard. The effect of the draught began at the toes, and rose steadily through every limb, bringing refreshment and vigour as it coursed upwards, right to the tips of the hair.”
This is exactly what we want Wellinghall Books and Coffee to be for our guests -- a place of rest and refreshment where you can enjoy a good book and drink with friends in South Charlotte. We welcome you to come and visit us here!
