Fun news for this year! I’ve been doing a whole lot more planning and making because…

Old Made New is getting more room this year. I can’t wait to show you what I’m working on.

Southern Christmas Show, November 11–22. 🎄

So, what have I been up to with Old Made New?

More than a little has been happening behind the scenes. Our whole-house remodel has been turning out amazing, and I've also managed quite a bit of creating in my studio throughout the summer.

I'm well on my way, with about 75% of my products already made for this year's big fall show.

On top of that, I've been collecting.
Collecting what, you ask?
Can't wait to show you.

Well, hello September.

I took a little break from sharing this summer so I could enjoy family, travel, make some things, collect some things, and get tasks underway behind the scenes.

Now it's September, and I'm ready to start showing you what I've been up to.

There's quite a bit to share!

Rare winter weather here in the Carolinas made for an eventful couple of weeks. We prepped for ice, then a few days later for snow that actually delivered. We ended up with 8–10 inches here in south Charlotte.

We made the most of it with sledding, hot chocolate, s’mores, and some cozy crafting time.

Today feels like a return to routine. I’m easing back in with sorting and cutting. No finished pieces to share yet, but the second product drop for email subscribers is coming later this month.

The reveal! I have a large batch of bows ready for my first product drop. The drop will happen this weekend (likely Saturday evening) as long as we don’t lose power! My email newsletter will share all the details of how to purchase. If you aren’t a subscriber, you can sign up at oldmadenew.org.

I quizzed you last week and you guessed right! I was making a jacket. This one required lots of patching and darning due to holes and damage but it still turned out great.

Sorry, I know I will be asked…it’s not available as it was a custom order from a customer provided quilt. Have a quilt you wish to have made into things? DM me and let’s chat about it!

I’ve got a big batch of something else to show you later this week. Stay tuned!
