Tumbler Style Guide: Part 4 — Milky Way

What it is:
Named for its dreamy, galaxy-like appearance, the style uses diagonal or sweeping streaks that mimic cosmic dust clouds or marble over a glitter base.

I typically do not upcharge this style, however it can be a little more time consuming and might take longer than a standard glitter tumbler.

Tumbler Style Guide: Part 3 — Split design

What it is:
The cup is divided in two or more sections (vertical split, horizontal split, a V split or multiple intersecting sections), showing two or more different themes, colors, or materials on each side.

Why this has an upcharge:
The tumbler has to be taped off to isolate each section, and is a time-consuming job since not only does each completed section need to be adequately sealed before starting on the next section so there isn’t glitter contamination, there’s a fair amount of calculations that go into the sectioning itself.

Tumbler Style Guide: Part 2 — Peekaboo

What it is:
A peekaboo tumbler has a hidden, vibrant base design (usually bright glitter, alcohol inks, or something with texture) "peeks" through the cutout shapes or lettering of a solid, contrasting top layer.

Why this has an upcharge:
To achieve this style, I have to make an entire layer of the base (glitter, sawdust, sand, alcohol inks etc.), work up layers (sanding, smoothing, building) until it is a clean, smooth base and then build a new layer of paint, vinyl and potentially more glitter, so the end product essentially has twice as many layers as the standard tumbler discussed previously.

Tumbler Style Guide: Part 1 — Standard/basic style

What it is:
A tumbler with a single-layer of glitter (solid or ombré) over a base paint, alcohol inks, solid colors or something that adds texture. On top of this layer there’s usually vinyl cut-outs for a name, phrase, pictures etc.

This style typically has no upcharge and has a relatively quicker turnaround time and has all the pizzazz of a unique handmade piece you can sport daily! ✨
