Maker Monday!

Meet Stephanie, owner of Peaches & Bluebonnet Bows • The Bow Patch

“Peaches & Bluebonnet Bows was born out of a lifelong love for bows, a little creativity, and a house full of boys. I’ve loved bows for as long as I can remember, and growing up as a competitive dancer, there was always something about putting that bow in my hair that made me feel like it was officially “go time” and I was ready to go. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I found myself stuck at home with four little boys my two sons, my two stepsons, and my husband—and as the only girl in the house, I needed something girly to focus on! I started making bows as a creative outlet and began selling them online, never imagining that something I started simply because I needed a hobby would grow into the business it is today. When it came time to name my business, “Boy Mama Bows” just didn’t sound quite right, so I went with Peaches & Bluebonnet Bows, inspired by where my boys were born. My son Garrick was born in Georgia, the Peach State, and my son Beckett was born in Texas, home of the bluebonnet, so the name felt like the perfect little piece of our family. We eventually moved back to Georgia in 2021, and our daughter Faith Louise (Faithie) later joined our family, finally giving me my little girl after years of being surrounded by boys! Over the years, Peaches & Bluebonnet Bows has grown far beyond what I ever imagined when I made those first bows during the pandemic. It has become a creative outlet, a business I’m incredibly proud of, and a community filled with wonderful customers who have supported me, cheered me on, and allowed me to keep doing something I truly love.”

Stephanie makes the most beautiful hand tied bows out of our lace name we are excited to share her beautiful creations!

Meet Jacqueline Skelton owner of Bowtique on Main Street

“Hi! I’m Jackie, the owner and maker behind Bowtique on Main Street! I’m a wife, mama of two, Disney content creator, and lifelong lover of all things creative. I originally started making bows for my daughter, Briar Rose, to coordinate with her outfits, especially for our many days at Disney. As I began creating pieces to match our park outfits, I realized how much I loved making unique accessories for others, too—and Bowtique on Main Street was born! While Disney is a big part of my inspiration, my shop isn’t limited to Disney-themed bows. I love creating everything from classic, timeless pieces to fun, whimsical designs that can be worn anywhere. I’m so grateful that something I started as a hobby for my little girl has grown into a business that lets me create beautiful pieces for other families and be part of their memories, too!”

“ I started making bows just over a year ago today! My niece is my world and I was buying her smocks well before she was even born - but then came bows. After my grandmother passed I inherited all of her craft materials and therefore had lots of ribbon on my hands. This is when I decided bow making might be a fun hobby. And here we are over a year later. It’s not only a hobby but a business and I’ve met so many friends in the bow world! So not only does my niece Parker get to wear them but I love sharing them with so many other families around the world!”

I absolutely love what Jessica created here—and I especially love that she used one of our Cowboy Boot laces. 🤠

If Jessica’s bow has you wondering about those Cowboy Boots… good news.

They’re on their way back.

Our Cowboy Boot lace is returning soon, so keep an eye on The Bows and the Bees this week for the restock announcement.

Thank you to Jessica for sharing her beautiful work! We can’t wait to see what other magic you create 🩷✨

✨ A little behind-the-scenes of my custom lace… ✨

It’s hard to believe, but it’s been about a year since I first introduced custom lace designs here.

When I started, my plan was actually very simple. I wanted to create a custom lace to use in my own bows and offer the extra yardage to anyone who might enjoy creating with it too.

I never imagined it would grow into one of my favorite parts of this business—or that we’d be releasing new custom lace designs every couple of weeks!

For those who may not know, I have a background in textiles and costume design, and creating something that begins as a sketch and ends as a finished product has been my favorite part of this field for nearly 20 years. Whether I was patterning garments from a designer’s illustration, dyeing and distressing costumes, or creating original designs of my own, I’ve always loved watching an idea become something you can actually hold in your hands.

One of the very first things I designed for these laces was the scalloped edge. I wanted something that would become recognizable across my collections—a sweet eyelet-inspired edge with tiny floral details that reminds me of the eyelet fabrics I loved growing up. There’s something timeless and nostalgic about eyelet, and I wanted to capture a little bit of that feeling.

What’s fun is that every version you see—whether it’s my cotton lace, nylon lace, or the newer silky-soft versions—is created from that exact same hand-drawn edge. The fiber, scale, and finished look may change, but the original artwork stays the same.

As this collection continues to grow, that little scalloped edge has quietly become my brand signature. ❤️

Thank you for making this past year so much fun. Every new design starts as a sketch, and I still get excited every single time I watch those drawings become real.

Swipe through to see how the same hand-drawn edge transforms across different lace styles and materials. I’d love to know which version is your favorite!

❤️ Product Spotlight ❤️

This super silky soft lace is one of my favorites because it has a very soft, pillowy 3D quality on the hearts, yet is so flexible. It was created using a newer “silk touch” technique that adds the prettiest shine to the lace.

Plus, the white is perfect for Valentines too!

We still have a decent amount left but the green is going fast!
