All I can say is Wow! And Thank you God. What an amazing day spent with some of my favorite mosaic friends. We visited the soft opening for the Flora Springs Winery. Meeting Joel Miroglio, the architect and visionary for this project was such a blessing. He took us on a tour and shared the whole history of this project which was fascinating. The wine was fabulous, the company was the best, and finally seeing my mosaic globes in the middle of this gorgeous design of his was just mind-blowing. I am so grateful to Dawn monica’s mosaics and Regina Robertson Ligon for encouraging me to come and experiencing this together. CMA2 - Contemporary Mosaic Art2 is my tribe and I cannot be more grateful than I am to spend time with my fellow mosaic addicts. Monica is the supreme hostess and has trained her daughter, Jessie so well in the art of hospitality. Visiting Monica’s mosaics in person and touring her studio was another pinnacle moment!! I love you ladies and am so glad that I got to share this with you. I missed a lot of my other mosaic buddies too!! Roseate Spoonbills are one of my favorite birds. A flock of them are called a bowl or a spoonful. They are highly social creatures who gather in large “bowls” and get their gorgeous pink color from feeding on shrimp and other crustaceans. So who needs a spoonful of roseate spoonbills?

The move is done and I had my first class yesterday at my new studio VAPA Center | The Visual and Performing Arts Center! So exciting. I have a studio plus can teach in the classroom. I got so excited when they all got here that I forgot to take a photo during class. The VAPA Center is a dream come true. There is such a great energy of creativity and community here and I am very excited to jump in and participate. I am still pinching myself that they chose me! Thank you VAPA Center | The Visual and Performing Arts Center for giving me this opportunity! New classes are coming soon. For now, I am teaching weekly on Thursday mornings from 10 am - 1 pm. Who wants to take a Mosaic Window Class? All these windows were in my old storage unit so I need to share the wealth! Let me know if you are interested and we can work on dates for a class. They are beautiful but also work great for covering “problem views” like the heat pump that this customer wanted to block. I have one in my bathroom that I love looking at while soaking in my garden tub but it also provides more privacy since that window faces the road. I can also do window commissions so hit me up if you want to make a window or have me create one for you! Guild of Charlotte Artists

My Commission for Flora Springs tasting room in Napa, California is almost ready to open. Here are some photos. The floral globes are mine. The mosaic walls were created by Sicis of Italy. I am unbelievably grateful to the architect, Joel Miroglio for finding me and working with me to create this project. Now, I need to visit Napa!
