When Covet first emerged as an online shop back in 2016, I never expected it to blossom into something so incredible. Seasonal pop-up shops allowed me to connect with customers uniquely, but it was the opening of our brick-and-mortar store in July 2017 that truly stole my heart.

Nestled along Central Avenue, that cozy little space became a hub of creativity and community. Over the next 5 years, we made unforgettable memories, formed lasting relationships, and shared our passion for maker-made goods.

But just like seasons change, so do our paths. March 2022 marked a much-needed pause for me, a chance to reflect and recharge. And now, as 2023 comes to a close, I've made the clear-eyed decision to bid farewell to Covet for good.

While it's always hard to say goodbye, I'm eager to make space for fresh inspiration and new endeavors. In that spirit, I've reactivated the online shop through January 1st and listed the remaining inventory at 40% off.

It’s the first Saturday in almost five years that I haven’t woken up and began to “plan my shop day.” Outside of holiday breaks or occasional shop coverage, I’ve folded myself into 200+ weekends within Covet. To say it’s going to take some time to adjust to the unfolding is an understatement.

This space has been etched into my identity in ways I cannot begin to describe. She’s witnessed me expand and retract. She’s helped me learn and unlearn. She’s held me and allowed me to hold others. But most of all, she has been a conduit of community + connection with the best of friends.

This past fall, I was invited by Tamara of to share my perspective on maintaining devotion to your self as an artist/creative with a class of art students. Looking over my notes today, I found that I was teaching myself more than anyone else in that room: “So much time goes into building the structure + habits of our lives, but disruption can carry renewal + an opportunity to rebuild… not only do we uncover our hidden resilience, but we can rebuild anew with greater inner insight.”🔥

A New Chapter | With the pending signs of spring also comes a new chapter for myself & Covet.

The last five years of having a storefront have been nothing short of magic. I’ve watched this space transform into more than just a shop to buy things. Friends were made, makers were celebrated, & humans were held.

But the time has come to honor a new chapter, and that is one without the storefront. I’m eager to see what’s just over the horizon for Covet … to devote my energy to a stronger online presence and to lean into my growth edges as a curator/artist.

It is only because of you, friends, that any of this has been possible. And for that, I will be forever grateful.
