I’m late for World Mental Health Day but let’s talk about being present. The pressure to show up for everybody in your circle after having a baby is tremendous. You’ll have people wanting to visit, household duties that you believe only you can do, other children to care for, a partner or spouse to provide love and attention to.

‼️What matters most is your ability to show up at all. Don’t believe that you’ve got to show up for everybody! Without true supernatural strength it’s impossible. There will be days that you can only show up for yourself and that’s ok!‼️

Infant feeding, infant care, household maintenance, business ownership, and all the things can be delegated to others while you are recovering! Take care of your mental health, get ahead of the challenges that you’ll face and set real expectations so that you can be present.

Trigger: Infertility

I’m up to something. If you hadn’t seen my posts over the past years, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the community that this IG page was created among, infertility warriors and survivors. After the birth of my twins via IVF, I attempted to “mom blog” the experience.

After years of being consumed in motherhood, I put my career ahead of being boxed in and launched

I recently completed a workshop this past weekend to expand on my business services for Milk & Cradle LLC. On the following day after completing this workshop, I was left with the opportunity to reflect and gather myself before my children were back home with me. In this time, I realized that there are many factors in everyday living that will affect how we mother our children. It’s up to us to make every day better, one after another. At the end of the day, no matter how many credentials you may have, your children see you solely as their mother. Your job for them is to continue to make every day better than the last, no matter how good or bad that day may have been. I’m thankful for the opportunities to become an entrepreneur but I’m more thankful for the opportunities that it has allowed me to have with my children, making each day better than the last. My most important credential will always be MOM.

Soooo what have I been up to besides being a mom?!? I’ve been working on myself!! Mommy’s World and Beyond has been on the backburner for some time...the twins just turned 5 years old yesterday 😯 crazy!
