Celebrate the 4th—and 250 Years of America—with Us!

Still Time For Blue Line Fishing!

Summer is here, but mountain trout fishing isn't over yet.

Recent rains—including this past weekend's storm—have kept water levels in good shape, and we're still seeing stream temperatures in the low to mid-60s. That means there's still time to get after brookies and wild trout in the mountains.

A few reminders:
- Bring a thermometer
- If water temps hit 68° or higher its time to give the trout a rest
-You dont have to drive all the way to the river to get a general idea of its temperature. Taking a mean average of the daily high and low temperatures will give you a good idea of water temp.
- Keep fish in the water as long as possible
- Fish early mornings or late afternoons for the best conditions
-The hollers in Madison county got a bigger dose of rain than the rest of the streams on the east slope.

*Sulphurs
*A few stray caddis
*There are always midges
*More terrestrials by the day!

Below the surface, small mayfly patterns 18-20, caddis pupae, pheasant tails, sulphur emergers and zebra midges have all been productive nymphs to fish. Focus on shaded water, undercut banks, fast water, and deeper pockets.

We probably have a few good weeks left before summer conditions really settle in, so get out there while you can.

Kids’ Fly Fishing Clinic!

Join us for our first Kids’ Fly Fishing Clinic at Boar’s Head Inn, by the big pond, on Saturday, June 20th from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM!

This is a fun opportunity for kids to learn the basics of fly fishing in a welcoming, hands-on setting. No experience is needed, and all equipment will be provided.
