Playful bar accoutrements— off to the races! At the house where we spent every summer, everyone had a different glass, though ours were the jelly glasses of that era. How fun are these horse racing glasses? You could snag some of the Preakness glasses in time for this afternoon’s race!

Here I go again! Another object adapted for use as a lamp. This one is a samovar, which was electrified, with a celery-hued crewel-stitch shade. Yummy, don’t you think? What sorts of items have you electrified? Send me a picture! This one is coming to before the week is out.

This graphic mixed media piece by Cape Cod artist Ted Skirvan is coming to at cville this weekend. I love the colors, the composition, and its personality. I’m calling it ‘Stink eye’ Tuna, though I’ve taken some liberty with that.

I love using unexpected objects for lamps. We had this old oil can electrified, and have had it in the store, but it has been languishing in its shade— which was an interesting textural, wrapped twine shade, but not my favorite on this lamp. But take a look here! This crisp little blue and white number makes my heart sing! What do you think? Come check her out .
