Based on the feedback we have gotten, we have added more dates for our Safety Workshop thru the end of August. We are trying to to be as accommodating as possible, as we believe that this is important. We are not just covering fi****ms, but various options and forms of self-defense to help you find the best option for you, and give information on taking the next step for your preferred method. We would love to see you there!

BCAC Community Open House: Personal Safety Options Night (Free)

Bring a chair and your questions.
Hootey and Lydia are hosting a relaxed, judgment-free community night focused on personal safety options—especially for places where you can’t carry (theaters included). With everything feeling heavy lately, we wanted to offer something practical that helps people feel more informed and more in control of their choices.
This is not political and not a sales pitch. Nobody has to share personal experiences.
Come listen, ask questions, and take what’s useful.

We’ll cover:
Non-lethal options
Basic gun safety (optional hands-on with dummy rounds)
FOID basics + what to expect when buying
Outside at our shop. No politics. No sales pitch.

We also got to watch KJ complete her Girls On The Run 5K this past Saturday. Hootey ran it with her last year, and it is no small feat for an adult let alone a kid. KJ not only persevered she thrived and crushed it. We love you and are super proud of you kiddo!
