My girl is home finally! The car ride home with the cone on wasn’t her favorite and it was a longer stay than expected today but she is home! It’s weird not posting a happy picture of her but she just ate and drank a ton of water and is out like a light. 💕

Surgery was successful and we are just waiting on the biopsy results. For now, it’s two weeks of downtime and restrictions and being a cone-head when she’s not sleeping or eating. 😅

‘Misses Miley’ dahlia is an absolute fall colored stunner AND SHE MADE IT! First blooms here… and new to our farm this year. (I bought it in January from Stark Farms tuber sale and she survived!) Yay!!

Let me see your dahlias!! Post a pic on our page in the comments. I want to see your favorite beauties! 🙂 🥳

Hi everyone!

Keep my sweet pup Zoey in your thoughts!

At her annual visit, they found a new lump on her paw/ankle area. We were really hoping it was just fluid-filled cyst and nothing to worry about, but after taking a sample, they found mast cell tumor (MCT) cells in the extraction. She is scheduled for surgery to remove it early Friday morning. 🥺

She’s only 5 years old and still her happy, goofy, personal space invading self as of now and we’re hoping they’re able to remove it completely and it has not spread into other areas. Hoping we get the best possible news afterward. Keeping all positive vibes in full swing… 💛🙏🏻❤️‍🩹

This year, there’s no color palette. No waiting for the newest dahlia introductions to open. No anticipation of walking through the field of dreams I had imagined for this season.

BUT… there are the flowers that made it. And somehow, that makes this bouquet feel more beautiful than ever. 💕

A little mismatched. A little wild. Gathered from whatever the season was willing to give us.

No expectations. No perfection. Just gratitude for my vase full of flowers. 🌸

🍂 Fall at the Farm is officially happening! 🍂

It’s been a little quiet over here lately, but behind the scenes we’ve been busy picking up the pieces, making plans, and figuring out what this next season looks like.

And today, I’m SO excited to finally share that our Fall Calendar of Events is live on our website! 🧡

After the flooding and crop loss we experienced this summer, we knew we wanted to find a way to keep moving forward — and to give our community a reason to come back to the farm, gather in the barn, create something beautiful, and have a little fun together.

So this fall, our workshops and special events are doing double duty: creating experiences for our community while also helping us raise funds to rebuild and recover from this summer’s losses.

And we have some REALLY fun things planned with more to be added as the season progresses. 🍁🎃🌿

Think fall nights in the barn, hands-on workshops, pumpkins, grapevines, chocolate, flowers, Halloween fun and a few collaborations with some wonderful businesses.

When you purchase a workshop ticket this season, you aren’t simply signing up for a class. You’re helping us put the farm back together and invest in what comes next.

Visit our website or click the link! https://www.guidinggreenthumbs.com/calendar

Workshop registrations are now live! Come join us for some FALL FUN!

It only took us until 2pm to realize today is our anniversary! ❤️😅

Which feels like a good time to acknowledge that marriage — much like flower farming — comes with highs, lows, beautiful seasons, complete disasters, and a surprising amount of money spent on things you never anticipated needing. 😂

Some years you’re standing in a field of flowers thinking, Wow, look at everything we’ve built.

Other years Mother Nature dumps 8 inches of rain on you and says, Let’s see how strong this marriage really is. 🌧️💪🏻

We may be celebrating this one in a bit of a low season, but if farming has taught us anything, it’s that seasons change, you clean up the mess, you plant again, and you keep going.

So, Happy 8th Anniversary to us! 🥂❤️

Good morning, everyone! 🌸

THANK YOU. Truly. This community is nothing short of amazing.

Asking for help to rebuild and recover isn’t an easy thing to do, but you have given us the most incredible start. Our fundraiser has already raised over $3,700! I can’t begin to tell you how much that means to our family and our farm. 💗

A huge thank you to Anthony Krolikowski for reaching out, visiting the farm, listening to our story, and sharing it with our community on CBS6Albany news this weekend. Having the opportunity to show what happened here—and what this loss means for a small flower farm—meant so much.

And this storm didn’t stop at our property line. Another local flower farmer, Adele Bueno in North Chatham, also suffered a devastating loss of her dahlia crop. She is an amazing person and flower farmer, and as we begin replacing our own dahlia collection, we will be helping her replace hers, too. 🌸

Farming is hard enough without disasters. We’ve been knocked down a bit, but we’re certainly not done.

Thank you for all the support, shares, messages, offer of tubers, kind words and encouragement. You are giving us an incredible head start on rebuilding what was lost.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. 💗

If dusty rose, blush, and those perfectly faded vintage pinks make your heart happy… 🌸💗 this bouquet drop is for you.

Fresh, farm-grown bouquets have just landed concordhillfarm at 54 Main Street, Chatham today. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. ✨

$25 per bouquet

Reminder: Our farmstand is closed this weekend, so Main Street is your ONLY chance to grab your flower fix!

Freshly cut. Locally grown. And always spray-free. 💐

Don’t wait — stop by Main Street and grab yours before they’re gone.

Treat yourself AND support local farms at the same time. Happy Friday! 💗

First, I want to say THANK YOU. 💕

The number of messages, kind words, and incredibly generous offers to share dahlia tubers with us has been overwhelming in the very best way. I’m creating a follow-up list so I can reconnect with everyone later this fall and over the winter as we begin figuring out what rebuilding our dahlia collection will look like.

Many of you have also reached out asking how you can help or contribute in other ways. One of our wonderful patrons and dear friends generously created a GoFundMe to help ease some of the financial impact of this loss.

The effects of losing our dahlia crop extend beyond this season. We’ve lost a significant portion of the income we expected from flowers and events this fall, as well as the tuber inventory that would have supported our annual tuber sale next spring.

There is absolutely no expectation to contribute. Your messages, encouragement, offers of tubers, sharing our story, and continued support of our little farm already mean more than I can say. But for those who have specifically asked if there is a way to donate or help make the road ahead a little easier, I’ll share the GoFundMe link below.

We have some rebuilding to do, but we’re looking forward to growing again. 🌱💕

Thank you for standing behind Guiding Green Thumbs and cheering us through this. It truly means the world to us.
