Discover how a bold group of American artists—known as The Ten—broke free from the conservative art establishment of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Inspired by French Impressionism yet distinctly their own, these painters from Boston and New York created a movement that valued originality, light, and beauty.
Beth Stein will explore the accomplishments of this groundbreaking circle, with particular focus on William Merritt Chase, whose radiant works remain among the most beloved in American art.
An illuminating hour for art lovers, painters, and anyone curious about the roots of American modern painting.
