We’ve got the Austin Poncho worked up in it — 3 skeins, nothing but knits and purls — but there are a lot of great pattern ideas on Ravelry, too! We love the Deschain top, Easy Over, and the Helena Cowl, but no matter what you make out of this incredible yarn, you’ll love it!

Look at the stitch definition here! Juniper Moon Farm Moonshine is a single-ply blend of wool, alpaca, and silk. You’d think that the fuzz of alpaca and the single ply would kill the stitch definition, but look at how cables POP in Kathy’s gorgeous Irish Hiking Scarf. It really does look fabulous in a stitch pattern!

Why am I holding all this yarn in my hand? Because it FEELS so good! Urth Rare is a limited edition, hand-dyed, semi-gradient version of Urth 16, the softest wool you’ll ever touch in your life! You have to feel it to believe it. I think it’s actually softer than cashmere (because it has longer fibers). The colors are breathtaking, but we don’t have a lot of it because of the aforementioned limited edition situation. It is called “Rare” after all!

Alison is a great knitter and does a fabulous job with detailed patterns. We LOVE how this one turned out! It’s Summerline by Hinterm Stein, a shop favorite designer for her intelligent design and clear instructions. She’s worked this lightweight top out of another shop favorite — Etesia by Urth Yarns, a linen cotton blend that wears beautifully and comes in fantastic colors. This steely grey is such a great, sophisticated neutral and it looks fantastic on Alison!

Kinda love Plymouth Sea Isle. It’s a chainette style cotton/wool blend, which makes it really perfect for Chattanooga weather. A sweater knit or crocheted out of this itch free, soft yarn will carry you three seasons in comfort! We love the marled effect of the colors, too — it’s sophisticated without being flashy, casual without being sloppy. At a quick aran weight gauge, you can have the comfiest, coziest sweater by Autumn and wear it all Winter.

A carry-along yarn is probably the coolest invention in all of knitting and crochet. If you wanted a beaded shawl, sweater, or scarf, you used to have to source beads with large holes that weren’t TOO large for your project. Then you either had to string every bead you would use at the beginning of the project and fight with them strung on your yarn for the entire project or you had to find a TINY little crochet hook to stick through the eye of the bead and string each bead on with the hook when you wanted it. YOU ARE FREE NOW! All you have to do is hold Make it Perlchen along with your project yarn and knit or crochet like normal, and you’ll have tiny, elegant beads all throughout your project! No effort! The string is tiny and disappears into your main yarn, but the beads add that elegant little pop of sophistication. We are officially OBSESSED!
