Happy 40th, to me.
When I was seven, I was in the second grade.
I lived in a place where you had to wear your costumes over your jackets. shopping wasn’t a quick trip and the first stop light was 65 miles away.
I wanted to be Kymberly, the Pink Power Ranger for Halloween. Instead, my Grandma was already sewing old t shirts into grapes because my costume was decided for me.
It’s a funny story now, and it’s also why I let my daughter choose her costumes.
This little girl is still dreaming to be a Pink Power Ranger one day.
Or maybe she meant Park Ranger.
Perspective is everything. Grapes make w**e.
Maybe it’s fair to say I’m aging like fine w**e, manifested all those years ago by my grandmother’s hands while sewing little grapes on a turtleneck.
Cheers to manifesting exactly what you want because now, you know how to get it.
