The market was packed, the vibes were immaculate, the costumes were outrageously awesome and we are just so honored to be a part of this creative community.

Thank you guys for supporting our artists, events, and our store. It was such a magical evening and there is no place in the world we would have rather been than spending it with you all.

The Romeo + Juliet theme was so much fun and we loved reading the insults and 'battle of the houses' on the front window glass, seeing the themed tattoos, and seeing so many familiar faces.

In fair Verre Noir, where we lay our scene — inspired by Master Baz Luhrmann's verse of Romeo & Juliet — two great houses shall reign. Which house dost thou fall under, Montague or Capulet? We shall poll thee at the door, so come prepared to declare thy allegiance.

We do most heartily encourage thee to dress the part — whether in traditional Shakespearean garb or as a guest of the masquerade ball itself, but regardless all are welcome here. Costume contest with cash prize at the stroke of 8.

The Chattanooga Theatre Centre’s (CTC) production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing runs this Friday and Saturday @ 7:30pm and Sunday @ 2:30pm on the CTC’s mainstage for the closing weekend.


It is the Bard’s Merry War of Wits and we hope you can join us!

And - today, April 23 is Shakespeare’s Birthday and we invite you to visit their Shakespeare statue on the CTC lawn (next to Coolidge Park) and join the photo contest:
