These are a fave recent arrival- pair of hand carved circa 1920s Italian Art Deco alabaster table lamps- I bought these near Celina OH with frayed cloth cords, dirty, and without shades. I knew I had perfect vintage (also) Italian globes that would work perfectly. So in the van they went. These were scrubbed, polished, and new cords added last week. They retain original brass/copper sockets. These have a whimsical presence evocative of an age of optimism and hot air balloons for moi….and they are literally unique to the world which I love. Approx 12” tall total, $495 pair. Available for purchase now, just shoot me a DM!

Sunday will wrap up our Fall reLaunch event! A few weeks ago every other person wanted record storage/cabinets. I brought them. They’re still here. Where y’all at? Scroll for the things! Sunday 12-4! The walnut double shelf is 45” wide, the ash/white/hairpin cabinets are 36” wide.

And on the seventh day…. Let there be a pair of mid century nightstands! Really nice pair by Mt Airy, a high end North Carolina maker. These probably made around 1970. The pieces have been spiffed all around and the tops restored fully. There’re a couple small underlying irregularities to top which you probably would not even notice. 26” x 17” top, 25.5” tall. $795 pair, available now! We’re open Friday 12-6, Saturday 10-4, Sunday 12-4 and new things are coming out daily!

Patio situation— instant zero to hero with one MCM seating group! There’s a bunch of warm weather left and when it cools down your patio is still a gathering spot. With your Labor Day party looming, this rare 1960s Homecrest Casino set is the hero. It’s far less common than the Homecrest pieces you usually see (which is all great stuff). And these are actually so comfy!! The chairs rock. The set has a recent repaint and is available at $1195 for all. You can’t find this quality new for less than 3-4k (AT LEAST) and you absolutely don’t get the vintage style for that.

Just onto ceiling about an hour ago! If you were in 1950s America and wanted the most stylish, luxe, atomic modern chandelier, this is what you installed. Gerald Thurston for Lightolier in mixed metals. Polished nickel and brass, graphic glass inserts on bottom of cups, brass floral form sprays up top, atomic brass tipped spray on the bottom. ~25” drop, ~21” diameter. Great condition. New raw brass canopy, top cord replaced. $695, available whenever you’re ready! We’re open weekdays 12-6 this week!

This is why Risom and other top 20th C designer things are still sought after. The lines are a little more appealing. The curves a little more subtle and thoughtful, the proportions a little more perfect. Sometimes you can’t even quite put your finger on it—they’re just better. Here’s a survivor—that rich blue leather has seen some things and has some scars, scuffs, scrapes, burnishing. The structure is strong, height is adjustable on steel and walnut base and this thing is good for 65 more years just as it is. Comfy and ready for some deep power officing! We’ll be open all weekdays this week 12-6 daily! Chair is 350.
