After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to take a step back from planning future Standifer Gap Makers Market events for the time being.

As a new mom of two little girls, I’ve realized that this season of life requires more of my time and attention than I can comfortably balance alongside organizing the market.

I’m incredibly grateful for the vendors, shoppers, and supporters who have helped make this market what it is. For now, I’m focusing on family and taking some time to evaluate what the future may look like.

Now that our first market of 2026 is behind us, I just want to say thank you.

Event planning is never easy, and when you add weather and all the little unexpected things that come with hosting an outdoor event, it helps more than ever to have good people around you.

Yesterday, I watched vendors help vendors, offer encouragement, share compliments, lend a hand, and simply show up for one another. It’s something I notice at every market, and it’s one of my favorite parts of what we’ve built together.

I am always amazed—but never surprised—by the kindness and sense of community that exists here.

To our vendors: thank you for being the heart of this market. We appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. ❤️
