Have you ever wanted to know more about your local police and how they operate?
If you answered yes then you are just the person we are looking for.
The Cheektowaga Police Department’s Citizens’ Police Academy Fall 2022 Session is starting October 5, 2022 and runs till December 21, 2022 every Wednesday (except Week #2, Week #3 and Week #4 will be held on Thursday). The class will be at CPD Headquarters and run from 6:00 p.m-9:00 p.m. You will gain firsthand knowledge, understanding, and insight into the day-to-day operations of your local crime fighters! Learning about topics such as Recruiting and Training, Domestic Violence, Patrol Procedures, Crime Scene Investigation, The Behavioral Health Unit, Ride Alongs, S*x Offenses, Penal Law and Accident Investigation and Range Training! We have a limited number of spots available. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. The application process for the academy will include a check of your criminal history and your driver’s license. YOU MIGHT HAVE SEEN THIS POST. WELL TODAY I learned this, which is a must-add to the information to our Community. NEWS reports said, In Arizona, smugglers were discovered by DRUG SNIFFING CANINES! Smugglers cut holes in the tops of the vehicle's gas tanks. One vehicle alone suspended 20 POUNDS OF FENTANYL wrapped in foil and then in plastic, inside the gas tank hoping the gas fumes would disguise their stash. Canines in all the ports of entry detect more than 50% of all the drugs found along the border. These canines are used in all cases at Port of Nogales AZ. Just SINCE AUGUST 2022, at the Port Of Nogales AZ, the canines helped seize more than 4 MILLION fentanyl pills. REMEMBER JUST ONE GRAIN CAN BE LETHAL. WHO THINKS WE NEED CANINES TO PROTECT OUR COMMUNITY?
