We had a wonderful first day of our Summertime Sew Fine Retreat. We enjoyed a wonderful bbq. Kevin cooked up some beautiful chicken kabobs with veggies and pineapple, potato salad, a berry trifle for dessert. Folks prepared for the group project tomorrow. We are making Shenandoah. Some folks are using very interesting focus fabrics. Some folks are using a panel and cutting them up into strips along with a contrasting fabric and tomorrow we sew them back together! Congratulations to Janice who was our big prize winner today! Watch for more photos tomorrow to see all the pretty things we are making!

On this day in 1790, Thomas Saint received the first patent on what would become the modern sewing machine. And in honor of this day, we are offering special pricing on all machines in stock. We have basic Janome sewing machines all the way to the big quilting machines, classroom models, sergers and embroidery machines, all in stock. We offer free private 1 to 1 lessons to learn your machine and your first years service and cleaning is free. We service in house with a one day turn around on all basic service.
