Meet Bob Boyle, a former pro snowboarder and skater from New Jersey who not only helped pioneer modern skateboarding, but also played a key role in shaping the evolution of snowboarding on both the East and West Coasts. Stopping by the shop to dial in a new setup for his upcoming trips, Bob opened up about his incredible journey through both sports.

Featured in the next slide is Bob himself, landing the first-ever air over a road gap on a snowboard in 1983, a throwback to a time before bindings even existed, when riders relied on simple elastic straps. That same year, Bob appeared in the October 1983 issue of Thrasher Skate Magazine, leading a movement that pushed riders to challenge the limits of what was considered “normal.” He later appeared in TransWorld while riding for Sims Snowboards and Barfoot, solidifying his place as one of the early pioneers who paved the way for what we now know as freestyle snowboarding.

Between photography, progression, and chasing horizons with his crew, Bob and his friends left an unforgettable mark on the sport, a legacy still felt today.

In the end, it all comes down to one thing: respecting those who came before us and listening to the stories that spark the next generation of riders. Ride on and stay stoked. After all, it’s all about the people, the culture, and the connection that continues to grow!!

The first setup just headed out the door with a super stoked rider!

Ray swung by the shop today and snagged a Otto, paired with a sweet set of Stratas. The Otto is a playful, freestyle focused carving machine with a twin like shape and a softer flex, making it perfect for carving, park laps, and creative cruising.

Add in the Stratas, Union’s top park and freestyle binding with their buttery feel, excellent shock absorption, and all mountain versatility, and you’ve got a setup that’s ready to shred any terrain with ease!!

The season is creeping up right in time for the Holidays!

Check out a sneak peek at one of the first setups to head out the door for the 25/26 season: the Rome Ravine a directional all mountain slayer, paired with a set of fresh Rome Fase Katana bindings!

Needless to say, this setup is dialed in and ready for whatever’s thrown at it. Whether you opt for a fresh Rome board, Rome bindings, or the complete Rome setup, it’s safe to say you’ll be sending it with a grin from cheek to cheek!
