Heavenly Father,
As our local students head back to school, we place each and every one of them in your hands. Walk beside them as they enter new classrooms, meet new teachers, make new friends, and face new challenges. Calm the nervous hearts, comfort the ones who are afraid, and fill them with confidence in who You created them to be.
Protect them in the classroom, on the playground, on the bus, on the road, and everywhere their days may take them. Give them wisdom as they learn, kindness toward one another, courage to stand for what is right, and grace for the days that feel a little harder.
Lord, be especially near to the child who feels left out, the one who struggles to learn, the one carrying burdens no one else can see, and the one who simply needs a friend. Remind them that they are seen, loved, worthy, and never alone.
Bless our teachers, administrators, bus drivers, counselors, coaches, cafeteria workers, custodians, and every person who pours into our children each day. Give them patience, wisdom, strength, and hearts full of compassion.
May our schools be places of safety, growth, kindness, friendship, and purpose this year.
