I am currently working along side some of the most genuine people & small business owners who constantly show up for their community when it’s not popular, when it’s hard, and even when it’s not always safe.

We are currently coming together to raise money, as we have before, to ensure someone in our community is able to access gender affirming care. Gender affirming care is su***de prevention and there’s no better time than Su***de Prevention Month for us all to come together.

There is a GFM set up, where money from there will go directly to the person.

If you want to donate in other ways please reach out.

Bird Girl Bottle Shop has also agreed to allow me to host an art show ((details to come this week!)) next month. There will be a call for donated art to raise funds. The funds raised will go to the recipient. Again, identifying info will be blocked but I’ll always be transparent in transferring transactions.

The website is open with all kinds of beautiful pieces waiting to find their new home!

The coffins & skeletons adorned with roses and sunflowers are a nod to two beautiful humans who loved me more than I ever deserved. 💛 Losing them physically forever changed me. But in the end, I know that in whatever lies beyond this life I’ll see them again. And I know that every now & then they send me signs that they’re still around, even if I cannot see them.

The month of September has kicked me in the stomach every single year since 2003, and it doesn’t get easier, but it gets different. And as I continue to work on healing myself, I find ways to turn my grief into something positive. I find ways to turn all of the death & grief into something beautiful to honor my friends.

As for the hummingbirds, I just think really loved creating them.

One: 📸 credit to the best massage therapist in the universe, Caitlin Mulheron Gonzalez, LMT, LMBT, CMTCP ! She’s always an incredible human in general & I am thankful to know her!

Even in the rain, there’s still beauty all around us.

Thank you to Norfolk Botanical Garden , & their Event Coordinator, Ali, for a beautiful weekend. A huge shoutout to Ali for taking care of her vendors & making sure people checked on us, kept us hydrated, and helped us haul our belongings to and from our spots. I’ve never been less stressed at an event than I was this weekend, even with the downpours that rolled in. And while I don’t usually talk about event coordinators, I feel Ali deserves her roses publicly ((pun intended!)).

Thank you to EVERYONE who stopped by my tent to say hi, chat, and shop! I got to meet so many wonderful people this weekend, and have great conversations & it was just really special.

Seeing customers ((I literally hate calling y’all that because it feels cold. I have to think of something special)) I haven’t seen in a while, or friends who just came by to see me always makes my day. Because what do you mean that you took time out of your busy day, or your “me time”, to come sweat your b***y off and/or get rained on to see me??? 🥹 I am beyond lucky and very grateful!

To everyone new who I met this weekend, thank you for shopping with me! I hope you love your new Gems!! 💛

And to Alodeuri Artisan Jewelry & Kanisha Haskins , thank YOU for being you. I appreciate your energy, your vibes and your conversation so much. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to share space near you two today. Thank you for your kindness always. 💛💛

I’ll be adding inventory to the website this week. I’ll start taking pictures tomorrow & then I’ll let you know when I’m about to reopen! I know a lot of people wanted hummingbirds…& I am happy to report that some came home with me! 😎
