Well, I swore I would not make
Cocoa bombs this year…and I didn’t…Jacob (my son) did! Katy Pierce
Jacob’s travel baseball team was doing a fundraiser that kids could not participate in (selling raffle tickets for cooler filled with premium liquor). Anyone who knows me, knows I have no moral objection to alcohol, but we are all about life lessons in our house. This week’s life lesson is that Mommy and Daddy do not want to play travel ball, Jacob does, so it’s Jacob’s responsibility to raise the money for his team ($400). Jacob brainstormed on ways he could raise that much money, and ultimately decided that he wanted to make and sell cocoa bombs. He created his Business Plan, determining what flavors he wanted to make, how many shells total were needed, calculating how many he would need to make to raise the money, as well as the price point that he would need to sell them at to cover the cost of his supplies.
These cocoa bombs were made mostly by Jacob, with oversight from me to ensure proper handwashing techniques, quality control, and food safety handling occurred.
All cocoa bombs will be individually boxed/packaged and make great Teacher gifts, Boss/Coworker gifts, stocking stuffers, or Christmas Eve treats! Please note, once we are sold out, no more will be made! They are $10 each.
Payment can be made via Venmo to KatyAnnPierce or PayPal [email protected]. Orders can be picked up in Hickory area of Chesapeake today any time or 12/17-12/21 (Monday-Thursday) from 6pm-8pm. I will update the post with remaining quantities as orders are placed.
