Well… that's a wrap on another Fourth of July season, and all we can say is thank you.

This year was a big one for us. Moving to a new location brought plenty of unknowns, and if we're being honest, we were nervous. We wondered if folks would find us, if they'd make the extra turn, and if we'd still get to see all the familiar faces we've come to know over the years.

You all answered those questions louder than we ever could have imagined.

Our loyal customers, our friends, our neighbors, and the communities around Chester showed up for us in a way that only small-town Nebraska can. You spread the word, brought your families, told your friends where to find us, and kept coming back. That kind of support can't be bought, and it will never be taken for granted.

Because of all of you, Cokey's Crazy Crackers SOLD OUT of fireworks. We truly couldn't have asked for a better opening season in our new location.

Around here, businesses don't succeed because of fancy advertising—they succeed because good people choose to support local. Every purchase, every conversation, every wave from the pickup as you drove by, and every "See you next year!" reminded us why we love doing this.

To everyone who stopped by our stand this year, thank you for believing in us and for making Cokey's Crazy Crackers part of your Fourth of July tradition. We feel incredibly blessed to be part of such a supportive community.

We hope your skies were bright, your memories were made, and your hearts were as full as ours.

We'll spend the next year getting ready to do it all again, and we can't wait to see every one of you in 2027.

The story behind the tradition... 🇺🇸🧨

Long before Cokey's Crazy Crackers, there was one man with a dream, a fireworks stand, and a college tuition to pay.

In 1963, Cokey's uncle, Jim Kleveland, founded Kleveland Fireworks, selling fireworks in Chester while he was still in high school to help pay for his education at Peru State Teachers College. What began as a way to earn tuition money soon grew into a lifelong passion and a Fourth of July tradition that would span generations.

For more than 50 years, Jim built a business that became a Fourth of July tradition for countless families across southeast Nebraska and north-central Kansas. He often said: "Fireworks are as patriotic as the Statue of Liberty, the American flag, and the eagle."

Those who knew Jim knew he loved fireworks, but even more than that, he loved seeing families make memories together every Independence Day.

In 2010, he passed the business on to his nieces with the hope that the family tradition would continue for generations.

When Jim passed away in 2018, his wish was for his nieces to carry on that legacy. Although the original stand and business were eventually sold outside the family, the tradition didn't end.

To honor Jim's vision, his niece Coleen built a brand-new stand right here in Chester—Cokey's Crazy Crackers.

Today, we're proud to continue the family tradition that Jim started over 60 years ago. While the name may have changed, the values haven't: hometown service, quality fireworks, and helping families celebrate America's birthday together.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our family through the years. Every customer who stops by helps keep a Chester tradition alive.

The name changed. The tradition didn't. ❤️🤍💙
