All of my vendor events have been so enjoyable, even in hot, humid weather. I love chatting with shoppers and I’m looking forward to seeing some of you all at the market tomorrow!!

Barring any major weather changes, we will be attending the Chester Village Farmer’s Market again this Saturday!

Would you buy a book in the rain? 🥴 If it’s a bit too heavy, I’ll have to pack up/not attend in order to protect “my precious” (books). Bonus points if you catch the reference😉

Hopefully the hours between 7am and 2pm will be clear so vendors can set up and attendees can enjoy the market!

Recent reads and lessons learned. No more fantasy on audio! Honestly, if the book is over 9hrs, it’s probably better to read the physical book. If only there were more hours in the day 🙃

Thank you to the awesome organizer for hosting such a fun, artsy, well-attended event on Sunday!!

The event had great foot traffic, but books didn't seem to be the vibe lol And that's ok! I still took so much away from my second event EVER.

I had lots of interest, lots of browsing, lots of excited kids... however, I think I displayed too much inventory and overwhelmed customers.

I have a brand new strategy planned for this Saturday at my local Farmer's Market. Can’t wait for you all to see!

Also: now I know to arrange my set up such that my chair is UNDER the tent, not behind. 🤣

First vendor event in the books! Apparently I’m supposed to frame my first dollar? 🤣

Saturday was HOT, but I woke bright and early to arrive on time. I certainly learned a few lessons after this show, but I’m SO grateful for the opportunity to get kinks out of my workflow before much larger events later in the summer.

One thing I learned from this event: start your cash drawer on Square as soon as you finish setting up!

As a small business owner or mobile bookstore, did you make any mistakes on your first day of business? What did you do?!
