As we come up on our 2 year anniversary next month, I would ask that you all pray over our little store here in Hancock Village. We are grateful to be here. Grateful to serve the community. Grateful for the encouragement from those that enter our store each day, those that pray for us, those who spread the word of us being here and make it possible to pay rent and all the things that come along with maintaining a physical storefront. It may not seem like a big deal, but it is and it is something I think about every day. It is only out of CRAZY obedience that we are here. An idea from a seed that was planted many years ago when our local christian store pulled out of the brick and mortar space permanently. The only thing keeping us afloat is God and his army.... all of the Barnabas(es) rallying with us. I have no idea or experience running a retail store, all the research done before we opened said operating a Christian store was sure to be a failure... the big box retailers had been going out of business, the small mom and pop retailers were going out of business, and there was not one single Christian bookstore in the Richmond area open. Moving forward despite the information on hand has been one of the best blessings of my life. Creating a space for people to discover Bibles, books, and gifts. Giving companies that actually care what they produce and how they produce it a chance. For those that walk through these doors to feel appreciated and comforted in the word of God. To be a physical presence in this way in this community is a breathtaking experience. To God be the glory 💛
