Thank you to the person with the presumptive comment for inspiring this step by step "how it's made".
Those who know me know I spent months on this book, the artwork was the hardest part, I am horrible at feet, hands and eyes (notice the differences in some images) 🤣
I did use age progression to age a picture of Hayden to get my inspiration picture for my character.
The next step was sketching out each picture, over and over and over!
Then I used Canva and photo editors to get the line work more defined instead of my sloppy pencil.
Then it was time to print each image and hand color it in. That's right I used colored pencils, many died in the process, to color each page by hand.
The final illustrations you see in the book and on the cover are all pictured below during the process and are just pictures I took with my phone of my artwork and plugged in to Microsoft Word to submit to publish.
