They say you should master blankets before jumping into plushies… I clearly didn’t get that memo. 😅 All I wanted to do was make birds. LOL

I did things completely backwards and started with plushies first. Now I’m tackling my very first blanket—and, of course, I couldn’t keep it simple. I’m going all out! 🍁🌵🏜️

You guys… if you have not downloaded the Merlin Bird ID app yet, what are you waiting for?!

When I walked out of work today, I heard several bird calls I had never heard before. I immediately whipped out my app, opened sound ID, and within seconds several migrating birds popped up.

The most prevalent was an Indigo Bunting. With the help of a coworker—who came outside trying to figure out why I was standing there holding my phone up to the sky—I finally spotted him!

The pictures aren’t great because he was pretty far away… but he was THERE. 💙🐦 Migration season is seriously the best time of year.

Birds don’t just visit your yard…
They can actually remember it.

Many backyard birds have incredible memory and can recall reliable food sources and safe spaces long after they leave.

That means if you’ve created a bird-friendly space, you’re basically on their “favorites” list 🐦💛
