Creative Support Group is a community for artists to connect and make more art! We provide media recommendations, prompts, and resources to help inspire your work, plus monthly support group meetings and a Discord server to connect with other members.

Our Community Art Show is a celebration of the creative journey, featuring work from contributing artists. Drop in on Tuesday night at Sol Space Chicago to celebrate with us, learn more about the group, and find creative inspiration!

The show is free with RSVP - 🔗 in the usual place.

P.S. Can’t make it IRL but still want to see the show? Pre-order the zine!

*ahem* Announcing… our contributing artists!

(Did you swipe to see the list? You have to swipe to see the list.)

Their pieces will be brought together in a collaborative print and digital zine, then celebrated at the Community Art Show at Sol Space on October 20. Pre-order, RSVP, or both at the 🔗 in the usual place.

I’ll see you there.

I love this list for many many reasons. I love that this group of humans from across the globe created stuff with their hands and then came together to contribute that stuff to a collective thing. I love that it has a mix of familiar faces and new friends, some who are members of Creative Support Group and some who just stumbled upon us (or got dragged in by me lol), all forming a community of artists I am honored to be holding space for!

⏰ Last call for Community Art Show submissions!

If you’ve been thinking, “I should submit something…” this is your sign to stop overthinking and gather your three pieces.

I’m looking for artwork that represents your:

1️⃣ Beginning: something you made a long time ago
2️⃣ Middle: a piece from somewhere along the way
3️⃣ Now: something recent

Your work does not need to be polished, perfectly photographed, or part of one cohesive style. The point is the journey: what changed, what stayed, and what becomes visible when you place those moments beside each other.

Selected pieces will be featured in a collaborative zine and celebrated as part of the Community Art Show. Artists keep full ownership of their work, and proceeds from the zine’s first 30 days will be split equally among contributors.

📅 The deadline is TONIGHT, September 30, at 11:59 PM Central (give or take)

This is a passion project, not a competition. Let your creative history take up some space. 💛

Send me this post and I’ll reply with the l!nk to submit.

🎨 There are a few ways to be part of the Community Art Show—and I’d love to have you (yes, YOU!) join us.

1️⃣ Submit your art for consideration
Share a piece from your creative journey. The show is centered on the beginning, middle, and end—not just the polished final product, but the whole winding path that got you there.

2️⃣ Pre-order the zine
Support the project and take home a collection celebrating the artists and stories behind the show.

3️⃣ Celebrate with us at Sol Space
Save the date for an evening of art, creativity, and community:

📅 Tuesday, October 20
🕗 8 PM
📍 Sol Space Chicago
🎟️ Free!

Whether you contribute your work, pre-order the zine, come to the celebration—or do all three—I hope you’ll be part of it. 💛

Save this post and send it to a creative friend who should know about the show.

Looking for l!nks? Check my bio, or DM me this post and I’ll get it to you 🫡

Deadline to submit is Sep 30 at 11:59 pm CT (give or take). Contributions will be chosen Oct 2, and the art show will take place Oct 20 in Chicago and TBD online.

Learn more + submit your art at the 🔗 in the usual spot, or DM me this post and I’ll reply with it 😎

P.S. If your interest is piqued but you don’t want to contribute this time, maybe you could pre-order the zine or RSVP for the show 👀

What if making art wasn’t about getting it “right”? 🖍️

In this meditative drawing workshop, there are no mistakes and no perfect ‘finished product’ to aim for. You’ll learn approachable patterns and techniques that give your hands something soothing to do, and your mind a place to rest.

Come as you are. Leave with new art and a creative practice you can return to whenever you need a moment of calm.

Join me Friday, October 2, 7-8:30 pm at Sol Space Chicago for this workshop. Use my link to sign up for just $19!

5-min craft that definitely only took me 5 min and absolutely did not take me all afternoon plus another afternoon to actually edit and yet another afternoon to post…

ft. Ash + Chess Big Book of Q***r Stickers (which I grabbed from Paper & Pencil Chicago Stationery on Stationery Store Day!), plus some other odds and ends from my craft hoard.

not pictured: gluing down the stickers for extra security, then styling by my bed to collect pop tabs from my nightly la croix 💅🏻
