PSA for newbies and non-beekeepers:
We are starting the Honeybee swarm season.
This means the original hive got too large so they create another queen and half of the colony leaves to start another hive.
During a swarm the bees are full of nectar to begin there new colony. This makes them very gentle and normally not aggressive. If you have any holes in your siding or home that you are thinking about filling or covering now would be a good time to do it.
A Beekeeper can catch a swarm a lot easier if it doesn’t invade someone’s wall.
Please do not spray them!!!!
Contact your local Beekeeper and most are happy to remove the swarm.
