Meet Marsha P. Johnson; trans-warrior. Alongside Sylvia Rivera, she fought for LGBTQ rights before LGBTQ was a thing. She was glorious, vibrant and righteous as hell. Then she was gone. Her case was pretty much closed immediately and briskly as most trans black murder cases are even today.
The first Pride was a riot. It was led by black drag queen and a Latina drag queen. Then they were thrown away. That s**t is powerful.
