Sometimes, we find ourselves repeating the same reactions, making the same choices, or holding on to things that no longer make us happy.

And we wonder why.

Some of our patterns were shaped by past experiences. Others developed as ways to protect ourselves from disappointment or pain.

And what once helped us cope may no longer be helping us grow.

Recognizing these patterns isn’t always easy, but it gives us the opportunity to respond differently.

Perhaps this week, growth will simply mean pausing before an old reaction, questioning a familiar belief, or making one more conscious choice.

We cannot change everything we’ve been through.

But we can choose how much of our past continues to shape our future. ❤️

Fresh chapter ✨

You can go back to college at 31.

You can adopt a child at the age of 39.

You can go back to nursing school at 42 after raising your kids.

You can learn how to teach your first online course at the age of 48.

You can reinvent yourself again at the age of 55 (I’m talking to myself here).

You can get married at 63.

You can move to Cambodia and teach English to elementary school students at the age of 69 (that’s what my mother-in-law Judie did).

Life doesn’t end at 30.

STOP acting like it does!
